Here at Sal’s Apizza Center, hard work, pride, and consistency are our recipe for success.
Sal’s Apizza Center was founded by Mr. Salvatore Cutrole in 1972. Following a family tradition of pizza making, Sal began his pizza making career when he joined Mr. Frank Fraulo at the Meriden Pizza Center, which was located on Centennial Avenue.
After becoming a master in his trade, he owned and operated Meriden Pizza Center for quite a few years before selling it to his brother Frank. Sal went on to own and operate a bar as well as several other local businesses.
Pizza making, however, remained in his heart. In 1972, he decided to open Sal’s Apizza Center on the east side of Meriden, where he fostered its success until 1998. Upon which Sal retired. And the Santiago Family took it over
It was a daunting task at first but success prevailed. The Santiago family has kept up the traditions and original recipes of Sal’s Apizza Center and continues to foster its growth and success today.
It is our great pleasure to serve the people of the Meriden area.
